Presentation of the European Educational Project “Stories that Move. Learning to Overcome Discrimination”

27October 2017

27 of October in Kyiv, a new educational online anti-discrimination resource will be presented.

Nowadays antisemitism, racism and discrimination take place in Europe and affect the lives of young people everywhere, including in Ukraine. Touching stories of teenagers with different, often vulnerable identities, have become the basis for an innovative European online anti-discrimination training resource.

The European Educational Project “Stories that Move. Learning to Overcome Discrimination” was developed by education experts from seven European countries with the participation of Ukrainian educators. It contains educational materials that help improving knowledge and skills for recognizing and combating anti-semitism, anti-romanyism and other forms of discrimination.

The presentation of the new educational product will be held in Kyiv, October 27, 2017, at 11:00, in the premises of the Office of the Ukrainian Parliament Commissioner for Human Rights (21/8 Institutska Str., Kyiv).

Invited representatives of the Ministry of Youth and Sport of Ukraine, the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, international organizations, activists of public sector, journalists, educators and those wishing to get acquainted with the latest product to deepen their own expertise.

In Ukraine, the project is being implemented by the NGO “MART” (http://mart-ngo.org.ua/ua/itemlist/) with the assistance of the Anne Frank House (Amsterdam, Netherlands, http://www.annefrank.org) and the financial support of the Foundation RemembranceResponsibility and Future”  (http://www.stiftung-evz.de), and is part of the action plan of the Ukraine-wide educational program “We Understand Human Rights”.
