Mariupol: presentation of monitoring results of the Local Human Rights Index

On March 30, at 10:00 a.m., preliminary results and developments of the monitoring of local government activities on the protection of basic human rights will be presented in Mariupol

Venue: Mariupol State University (129a Budivelnykiv Ave.).

Participants: representatives of Mariupol City Council and experts of the Ukrainian Helsinki Human Rights Union.

Local Human Rights Index is a mini-project of the Ukrainian Helsinki Human Rights Union aimed at supporting the decentralization reform.

The monitors evaluated local anti-poverty programs, financing of social assistance activities, technological improvement of the living conditions in communities, access to the social services system, etc.

The event is held within the framework of the Local Human Rights Index initiative designed for prioritizing human rights in the course of the decentralization reform, which is supported by the Human Rights in Action Program of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) in the part concerning the rights of internally displaced persons and conflict-affected population.
