UHHRU will provide legal aid to groups at risk for HIV as part of joint project with All-Ukrainian Network of People Living with HIV/AIDS

The Union has been providing such free aid since February 2018.

Ukrainian Helsinki Human Rights Union will be cooperating within the project with organizations working with the target groups. Last week, with the participation of the All-Ukrainian Network of PLWH, we signed a Memorandum of Cooperation with the National Hotline on the Issues of HIV/AIDS and TB. In the near future such Memorandums will be signed with a number of other organizations as well.

Target groups eligible to free legal aid include persons diagnosed with HIV/AIDS; persons diagnosed with tuberculosis; representatives of key communities at risk for HIV (persons practicing drug injections; sex workers; males having sexual relations with other males; convicts and ex-convicts; women diagnosed with HIV; teenagers affected by the HIV epidemic).
