UHHRU participated in the event of the community of organizations fighting tuberculosis

On April 3, 2019 in Kyiv, the event was held for the community of organizations fighting tuberculosis with the aim of introducing complex mobile application One Impact, which will contain information for people with TB, map of the hospitals, possibility to receive answers to the questions regarding social, medical and legal issues.

Currently this application is being adjusted to Ukrainian realities and soon the pilot will be launched on the basis of one oblast.

The event was organized by Stop TB Partnership, TB people Ukraine, PI “Public Health Center”, “Alliance for Public Health” together with DURE Technologies.

The event was aimed at:

  1. Discussion of the concept of monitoring based on community participation and its meaning for overcoming tuberculosis in Ukraine.
  2. Defining how digital solution (OneImpact – adjusted version) will be integrated and used by local players in fighting TB in order to simplify monitoring based on the community participation.

At the event, UHHRU representatives provided information on their activities in the project “Development of the network for protection of human rights of people living with HIV/AIDS, representatives of PL HIV communities and people with TB” and confirmed their readiness for cooperation, in particular, in the framework of launching this mobile application.

Ukrainian Helsinki Human Rights Union implements the project “Development of the legal network for protection of the people leaving with HIV/AIDS, representatives of key PLHIV communities and persons ill with TB” with the financial support of the Charitable organization “All-Ukrainian Network of the People Living with HIV/AIDS” in the framework of implementation of the project “Releasing the Burden of TB and HIV infection through creation of the open access to timely and quality diagnostics and treatment of the TB and its resistant forms, expanding evidence based prevention, diagnostic and treatment of HIV infection, and creation of stable and sustainable health protection systems”, which is implemented with the financial support of the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, TB and Malaria.
