Rally near Parliament committees in support of the law on IDPs’ voting rights (Photo)

Human rights activists got together for the “Invisible Voters” campaign, calling on Parliament members to adopt draft law 6240

The draft law allows determining membership in a territorial community based not on the place of registration, as before, but rather on the voting location. This will allow internally displaced persons, migrant workers and unregistered persons to vote in local elections.

The rally was the final step of the “#12 Days is Enough” flash mob, which tells the story of people forced to leave their homes as a result of Russian aggression.

The rally was organized by Public Holding “Group of Influence”. It brought together more than two dozen human rights defenders, among them representatives of the Ukrainian Helsinki Human Rights Union, Civil Network OPORA, Donbas SOS, Crimea SOS, Vostok SOS, Right to Protection, Charitable Foundation in Support of the Donbas Battalion and Human Rights Information Center.
