European integration in the electronic format

Today in the informational agency UNIAN presentation of the first issue of the informational-analytical weekly “UNIAN-European integration” was held, its publishing is accomplished at the financial and expert support of the Renaissance International Foundation.


The information of the weekly will be of free access on the UNIAN website every Thursday, and will be also sent to a big number of mass media and representatives of the Ukrainian government.

Every issue will contain informational and analytical materials regarding the dynamics of processes between Ukraine and structures of the European Union, decisions of the European commission, statements of the European parliament, positions of the European politicians and functionaries regarding the European prospects of Ukraine.

According to the publishers of the “European integration”, the project aims at satisfying the need of informing the Ukrainian society about the priorities of the foreign policy course of the Ukrainian government towards the European integration, intensifying relations of Ukraine and EU, and also all processes concerning the progress on this way.

According to Yevhen Bystrytsky, the director executive of the Renaissance International Foundation, among other it is planned to elucidate information on advantages and disadvantages of the process of the European integration for other countries, how this process is accepted by different sections of the population. Besides, in the opinion of Yevhen Bystrytsky, it is necessary to emphasize the role of the public society in the process of the moving to the EU, particularly interaction of public organizations with governmental bodies.

In the opinion of Oleksandr Derhachov, the famous Ukrainian political scientist, the weekly is to speak of “why we are going to Europe”, how to become Europeans and stay Ukrainians at the same time.

As the editor-in-chief of the issue “UNIAN-European integration” Albina Trubenkova stated, no one country did without substantial informational campaign on the way to the integration to Europe. Now Ukraine won’t do without it either.
