Briefing on the submission of reports concerning occupied Crimea to ICC

On December 12, 2017, at 11:00, the Prosecutor’s Office of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, with the participation of Prosecutor General of Ukraine Yuriy Lutsenko, will host the briefing devoted to the submission of the first information reports to the International Criminal Court. The reports contain facts of illegal appropriation of property of Ukrainian citizens in the temporarily occupied territory of the Crimean Peninsula, forced transfer and expulsion of them from the territory of the Peninsula according to decisions of the courts of the occupation authorities.

At the briefing, Prosecutor General of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea Gunduz Mamedov will report on the investigation of war crimes committed in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol, which are under the jurisdiction of the International Criminal Court.

Participants of the press conference will be:

  • MP Mustafa Dzhemilev, Commissionerof the Presidentof Ukraine for the Affairs of Crimean Tatars,
  • MP Refat Chubarov, Head of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people,
  • Representatives of the Ukrainian Helsinki Human Rights Union and the Regional Human Rights Center.
