Brutal violation of human rights and freedoms in different regions of Ukraine culminating in the forceful dispersal of the peaceful rally on the Independence Square in Kyiv on November 30, 2013 at 4 am, as well as using force on December 1, 2013 in Bankova Street, prevent constructive dialogue with the current Ukrainian government. Therefore, the Ukrainian Helsinki Human Rights Union announces that:

– it withdraws its representative from the Constitutional Assembly;

– its representatives terminate their membership in advisory boards and community councils established at central and regional public authorities.
