Dear Sirs!

With reference to information distributed by the press service of the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation, mass media made public a letter written by a number of Russian celebrities, in which they expressed their support for the annexation of Ukrainian territory. According to the text of this letter a viewpoint of these celebrities is supported by the following statement: ‘Our common history and common roots, our culture and its spiritual sources, our fundamental values ​​and language united us forever. We want the affinity of our nations and cultures to have a strong future. Therefore, we make a firm statement in support of the Russian President’s standpoint regarding Ukraine and Crimea’. That means that these people express a point of view that denies independence and territorial integrity of Ukraine.

Signatories to this letter are quite reputable persons in the world of culture. They influence broad audiences, including some citizens of Ukraine, thus having ample opportunities for promoting their anti-Ukrainian views. Given the above, and in order to prevent them from undermining the Ukrainian state, we propose to declare persona non grata all signatories to this letter, specifically:
