The UHHRU prepares an application to the European Court of Human Rights in the interests of the victim activist of Donetsk Euromaidan

The girl was detained in June 2015 in the city of Donetsk. She was detained in captivity for 41 day. She was beaten, tortured by hunger, thirst. The conditions of detention were deliberately made worse. Death threats, threats of torture to mother and grandmother were made. There was anti-Semitic speech toward her. She was forces with deceit to give some false interviews to media of the DPR and Russia following the prepared script in exchange for freedom.

In September 2015 the UHHRU experts conducted the monitoring visit on “Problems of gender-based violence in the conflict area” to Dnepropetrovsk city, where they met with the victim activist of Donetsk Euromaidan to establish and document all circumstances. On the results of the visit the UHHRU prepares an application to the European Court of Human Rights (ECtHR) in the interests of the girl.
